About the role

Unite Group operates student living brands designed to create a strong sense of home and support success. This position sits within either Unite Students or Hello Student. Based in York, the role is focused on keeping accommodation areas clean, safe, welcoming, and comfortable so students can enjoy a positive place to live and study.

Working pattern and contract

This is a permanent, full-time position. The role offers 37.5 hours each week, spread across 5 days out of 7, with working hours between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.

What you will do

You will work alongside teams in student experience and facilities to maintain a high standard across shared and communal spaces. The aim is to make the accommodation feel safe, inviting, and well cared for every day.

• Keep communal and shared areas presented to a high standard so they feel welcoming for students.
• Act as a friendly, helpful presence for students and colleagues, offering support or directing people to the right help when needed.
• Prioritise safety and sustainability while carrying out day-to-day tasks, helping keep properties clean, secure, and environmentally responsible.
• Take ownership of your area, address issues promptly, and escalate concerns rather than ignoring them.
