Housekeeping Attendant

Job Overview

We are looking to hire enthusiastic and guest-oriented Housekeeping Attendants who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and crafting innovative guest solutions. This role involves following daily assignments directed by supervisors while adhering strictly to hotel protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments, keys, and supplies from supervisors, ensuring accurate entry in the key log book.
• Thoroughly clean guest rooms and bathrooms following set housekeeping standards.
• Maintain clear and unobstructed fire exits and stairways at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel.
• Collect litter from corridors and pathways to uphold cleanliness.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture; dust and wipe down all furniture pieces; empty ashtrays and waste bins.
• Make beds and clean all bathroom surfaces including sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and floors; polish brass and metal fixtures.
• Replenish bathroom and room supplies consistently.
• Organize guest toilet articles neatly on vanity tops and perform spot cleaning on carpets as needed.
• Keep guest corridors, service pantries, and service areas tidy at all times.
• Remove room service trays and trolleys promptly from guestrooms and corridors.
• Coordinate with valet services for guest laundry, dry cleaning, or pressing requests.

Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of vocational training in housekeeping within a hotel environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is advantageous for effective communication.
• Friendly, empathetic, and committed with a strong sense of cultural sensitivity.
• Willingness to put in additional effort and time as needed to meet guests' needs.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural workplace.
• Strong sense of responsibility and understanding of job duties.
• Adaptability and teamwork skills to seamlessly collaborate within diverse groups.
