About the Role and Employer
This position is based at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, part of the globally recognized luxury hotel brand Anantara Hotels & Resorts, renowned for its authentic Thai-inspired hospitality. Established in 2001 in Thailand, the brand has expanded worldwide, offering luxury experiences in diverse and captivating destinations including Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This emirate offers a peaceful environment rich with beach, desert, and mountain attractions, perfect for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness standards in all guest rooms according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including correct handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Keep accurate records of linen, uniforms, and other inventory items.
- Manage lost and found items with proper documentation.
- Ensure inventory levels of linens, towels, and uniforms meet par requirements.
- Implement and suggest ways to reduce waste of materials and amenities.
- Maintain security awareness throughout the hotel and report any incidents to management.
- Fulfill VIP guest requirements and ensure their satisfaction.
- Accommodate special requests, particularly for families with children, ensuring timely and exceeding service delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and care of all housekeeping equipment used.
- Report immediately any damage or losses found in guest rooms.
- Collect and manage room service trays and update room status reports.
- Report any suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or unusual situations to housekeeping management.
- Execute additional duties and special assignments as directed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
- Experience operating housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers.
- Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform tasks such as bed making, bathroom cleaning, restocking amenities, and managing laundry.
- Strong attention to detail and effective organizational capabilities.
- Basic communication skills in English or the local language.
- Capacity to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Good physical condition with stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and carry supplies during shifts.
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Understanding of hotel safety, hygiene, and emergency response procedures.
- A dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
