About the Role
The community inpatient service operates across four hospital locations in Cambridgeshire: Brookfields Hospital in Cambridge, Princess of Wales in Ely, North Cambridgeshire Hospital in Wisbech, and the ICU at City Care Centre, Peterborough. These centers offer rehabilitation to patients recovering from extended acute hospital stays or physical injuries.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team designs care programs to aid recovery, preparing patients for a return to daily life or facilitating a transition to long-term, palliative, or residential care.
This position is situated at Cambridge Rehab Unit, Brookfields Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assist the ward staff by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment to promote patient care.
- Order patient diets according to individual care plans.
- Prepare beds for incoming patients by ensuring readiness and cleanliness.
- Clean and organize patients' lockers and tables to maintain hygiene standards.
- Safely assist with disposing of used clinical waste in accordance with infection control policies.
