Job summary

Oaks Gold Coast Hotel is adding to its housekeeping team and currently has several casual opportunities available. The role suits someone who is dependable, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping guest spaces spotless. A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to work well with others are important for success in this environment.

Key duties

• Clean guest rooms to a consistently high standard, including preparing beds neatly, vacuuming floors, and sanitising bathrooms so rooms are presented in excellent condition.
• Finish assigned cleaning work within the time allocated by the company.
• Work closely with fellow team members to achieve daily cleaning targets and operational requirements.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Use specialised cleaning tools and products responsibly and effectively; training and equipment will be supplied.
• Maintain respectful, professional relationships with colleagues, guests and contractors to support a positive work atmosphere.

Working pattern

The roster runs on a rotating schedule from Monday through Sunday. Shifts begin between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. These details may change as required.

Pay details

Hourly pay is provided before superannuation. Weekday pay is $33.85 per hour, Saturday pay is $40.62 per hour, and Sunday pay is $47.39 per hour.

Candidate profile

We are looking for someone with housekeeping or cleaning experience, though this is not mandatory. You should have a strong eye for detail, be committed to high cleanliness standards, and understand the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment at a basic level. Training will be provided where needed.

The role also requires physical stamina for repeated tasks such as bending, lifting and standing for long periods. Clear, professional communication, good time management, and the ability to prioritise work effectively are essential. A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, are also required.
