Role overview
Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join the team in Yate. The position offers hourly pay of £13.71 and is suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting directly with customers while representing the brand on the road.
What the job involves
In this role, you will deliver groceries to customers, make sure orders are handled carefully, and act as the customer-facing representative of the company during deliveries. The work also includes supporting the store team when needed.
Main duties
- Load the van correctly and follow safe handling procedures, including manual lifting where needed.
- Drive in line with all road safety and safe driving standards.
- Carry out daily checks on the delivery vehicle.
- Make sure shopping reaches customers in excellent condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service during every drop.
- Help in the store when operational support is required.
- Work on your own and organise your time effectively.
- Be available for changing shift patterns, with working times that may fall between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Candidate profile
Applicants should hold a full driving licence that has been valid for at least 3 years and must have no more than 6 penalty points. The ideal person will be positive, approachable, reliable, able to meet deadlines, and committed to safe driving and good customer experience.
