Health Safety Environment Engineer

Role Overview

The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the company’s HSE management systems. This role involves assisting the HSE management team with planning, execution, evaluation, and analysis of HSE activities on the project sites to ensure objectives and targets are achieved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and ensure compliance with the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and HSE Management Programme.
• Organize, conduct, and actively participate in training sessions, HSE committee meetings, and coordination gatherings.
• Provide advice to supervisory staff regarding accident prevention and improvements related to work practices.
• Assist in leading and overseeing HSE officers stationed at project sites.
• Supervise HSE practices on projects to ensure adherence to HSE plans and Management System requirements.
• Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or unsafe practices daily, raise observation reports, and track corrective actions.
• Address and report violations regularly, proposing necessary recommendations.
• Monitor timely submission and reporting of project HSE performance to guarantee achievement of set HSE goals.
• Contribute to safety awareness initiatives, incident reporting, and resolution aligning with company policies and Integrated Management System (IMS).

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
