Position Overview
We are seeking a Grocery Shopper Expert to join our team on an hourly contractual basis. The role offers a compensation range between $35 and $50 per hour and requires a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours. This position is fully remote, allowing flexibility in work location.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and purchase grocery products for both retail and wholesale purposes.
- Assess market trends, understand consumer demand, and review competitor products.
- Negotiate pricing and supplier contracts to enhance profitability.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and availability.
- Keep track of inventory levels and proactively manage stock-related issues.
- Craft buying strategies tailored to specific product categories.
- Effectively convey insights and decisions to various teams involved.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven background in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying.
- Demonstrated skills in product selection, negotiation, and purchasing techniques.
- Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating market and consumer trends.
- Experience handling supplier relationships and contractual agreements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
