Located at Bankstown Aerodrome, Sydney Flight Training Centre is the largest not-for-profit Aero Club on Australia's Eastern Seaboard, boasting over 55 years of experience in pilot education. Starting from a modest flying club, it has evolved into a leading training institution, enrolling more than 100 new pilots annually and operating a second airbase in Tamworth, NSW. The organisation remains centred around the club while pioneering advancements in training, fleet management, and its Pilot Training Academy.

Position Summary

The Graphic Designer is an essential member of the design team, tasked with creating visually engaging and effective design solutions that support the organization's marketing objectives. This position involves close collaboration with the Head of Sales, Admissions, and Marketing to translate creative concepts into tangible assets.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Head of Sales, Admissions and Marketing to comprehend design needs, goals, and deadlines.
• Create visually appealing materials such as brochures, presentations, social media graphics, event collateral, website layouts, and advertisements.
• Apply brand guidelines to designs while introducing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives.
• Understand target audiences to tailor design elements effectively.
• Prepare design assets suitable for both print and digital platforms.
• Partner with the marketing team to develop captivating content for social media and other promotional campaigns.
• Deliver all design projects on time and to a high standard of quality.
• Engage in design reviews, offer constructive critiques, and seek continual professional development opportunities.
• Maintain organized digital asset management and file systems to streamline team workflow.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.
• An impressive portfolio showcasing diverse design capabilities and creativity.
• Proficiency with leading design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary design trends and best practices.
• Strong grasp of foundational design principles and their practical application.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for teamwork and client interactions.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-moving work environment.
• Eagerness to learn new design methods and software technologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality outputs.
• Full legal work rights in Australia.
