Since its establishment in 2007, it has operated as the only Feeding America partner food bank in the region. Role Overview

The organization is seeking a skilled Graphic Design Production Contractor to support its mission by creating visually engaging design and branding materials. This contractor is expected to produce impactful visual assets that promote fundraising efforts, community involvement, marketing campaigns, programming, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

• Create print and digital marketing resources including signage, collateral, advertisements, reports, presentations, event materials, and branded merchandise.
• Utilize design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to develop templates and creative assets.
• Prepare files optimized for both digital dissemination and print production.
• Ensure brand consistency by adhering to Feeding San Diego's brand guidelines.
• Develop visual concepts and branding elements tailored to programs, campaigns, and events.
• Offer recommendations on design, layout, and visual communication strategies.
• Generate production-ready files for vendors and manage orders with printers and merchandise suppliers.
• Review proofs meticulously to confirm that final products meet specifications and timelines.
• Engage in project planning discussions and provide creative solutions aligned with organizational goals and target audiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional graphic design experience.
• Educational background with an associate's or bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, art, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
• Strong knowledge of typography, color theory, layout design, and print production processes.
• Excellent organization, communication, and project management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience supporting nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Compensation and Hours

The contractor will be compensated $30 to $40 per hour for up to 80 hours of monthly work. While the role is primarily remote, occasional on-site meetings at the Sorrento Valley office may be needed.
