Position Overview
We are seeking a recent graduate passionate about Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning to join our dynamic team as a Graduate Data Scientist. Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, and preprocess both structured and unstructured data sets for comprehensive analysis.
- Develop, test, and validate machine learning models under expert supervision.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and unusual data points.
- Create predictive models to enhance business decision-making processes.
- Design dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to clearly communicate findings.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation from databases.
- Participate in feature engineering and fine-tuning of models to improve performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop AI-based business solutions.
- Maintain documentation of methods, model results, and technical details.
- Assist in the deployment and ongoing monitoring of machine learning systems.
- Keep current with emerging trends and technologies in AI, ML, and Data Science.
- Adhere to best practices regarding data governance, security, and privacy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Recent graduates or individuals with up to one year of industry experience.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fundamental understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning principles.
- Basic proficiency in Python programming.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Awareness of data structures and algorithms.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail paired with sound logical reasoning.
- Capacity to work both independently and within team environments.
Preferred Skills
- Foundational experience with Python, SQL, and R programming.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Basic competency with data libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of cloud service platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Introductory knowledge of Git version control systems.
- Participation in academic projects, internships, Kaggle competitions, or a personal portfolio is advantageous but not mandatory.
