General Counsel Role Overview
This position is for a General Counsel on a contract basis, offering remote work flexibility. The engagement ranges from 10 to 40 hours weekly with compensation between $90 and $130 per hour.
Key Duties
- Develop, assess, and enhance contract negotiation playbooks tailored to varied real-life business situations and organizational needs.
- Draft, scrutinize, and annotate diverse commercial agreements ensuring precision, clarity, and alignment with relevant legal standards.
- Give professional advice on optimal practices in contract negotiation and management.
- Collect and provide non-confidential transaction documents to support project documentation requirements.
- Review and improve existing contract templates to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
- Work closely with the micro1 team to confirm that materials meet project criteria and support AI training goals.
- Offer detailed and constructive feedback in written and spoken formats to improve AI system outputs.
Candidate Requirements
- Current or former General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with significant exposure to contract negotiation playbooks.
- Proven ability in drafting, negotiating, and overseeing commercial contracts within corporate frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, emphasizing accuracy and lucidity in documentation and discussions.
- Thorough knowledge of best practices for contract assessment and risk analysis.
- Experience in creating or applying company-tailored contract negotiation playbooks.
- Familiar with document-centric projects involving sourcing and submitting qualifying materials.
- Capable of working autonomously to deliver clear, actionable insights for AI model training.
