About the Role
Hyatt Place Al Ula is seeking a meticulous General Cashier to join their team for the opening of the new hotel. This role is crucial for managing the daily financial transactions of the hotel, ensuring adherence to cash handling protocols, maintaining precise financial documentation, and assisting the Finance department in line with established hotel policies and financial regulations. The Hyatt Place Al Ula is a significant addition to the region, featuring 215 guestrooms, two dining establishments, meeting facilities, a pool, and a gym, catering to both leisure and business visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, verification, and reconciliation of all daily cash revenue from various hotel outlets.
- Prepare and ensure the secure deposit of daily bank funds according to company protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all cash transactions and supporting paperwork.
- Conduct daily cash counts and reconcile balances to ensure precision.
- Aid in supervising cash handling practices and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Generate cash reports and submit required financial documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance and operational departments on all cash-related issues.
- Promptly investigate and report any cash discrepancies.
- Uphold the confidentiality of all financial data and records.
- Contribute to pre-opening financial preparations and cash management readiness.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cashiering, finance, accounting, or a similar field, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial control systems.
- Strong aptitude for numbers and analytical thinking.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
- Solid communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent command of the English language.
