Overview
Hyatt Place Al Ula is preparing for its opening and is seeking a seasoned Chief Accountant to take charge of the finance function. The property is a major part of Hyatt’s continued growth in the region and will include 214 guest rooms, two food and beverage venues, meeting facilities, a swimming pool, and a fitness center, serving both leisure and business guests.
Role summary
In this position, you will lead the Finance Department and make sure it runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with Hyatt International’s corporate direction and brand expectations. The role calls for a finance professional who works with integrity, maintains strong financial controls, and helps support both operational performance and commercial outcomes for the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of the Finance Department.
- Manage the teams and processes for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Credit, and related finance areas.
- Maintain accurate reporting, internal controls, and compliance across finance operations.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial review work.
- Work closely with hotel leadership to strengthen financial discipline and support better decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory obligations, and audit requirements.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should have a university degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce, or Hospitality/Tourism Management. A CA qualification or a similar professional credential is considered an advantage. Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in a larger-scale operation, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Good administrative skills, strong interpersonal ability, high accuracy, integrity, and close attention to detail are also important.
