Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated GeM Vendor Management Executive to oversee our organization's activities on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. This role entails registering vendors, managing product catalogs, handling bids, processing orders, and ensuring close coordination with government clients to guarantee successful delivery and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the company’s seller profile on the GeM platform.
- Manage and update product and service listings with optimization strategies.
- Track daily GeM bids, tenders, reverse auctions, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
- Evaluate tender eligibility and prepare comprehensive bid documents.
- Submit all quotations and bids within designated deadlines.
- Collaborate internally for pricing, technical details, and approvals.
- Execute purchase order processing and coordinate dispatch, logistics, installation, and associated documentation.
- Follow up on payments and maintain strong communication with government buyers.
- Address buyer inquiries, complaints, and provide post-order assistance.
- Adhere strictly to GeM policies, procurement standards, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain detailed records including bids, orders, invoices, and performance metrics.
- Monitor vendor ratings, service quality, and customer feedback to improve offerings.
- Produce management information system (MIS) reports on bids, order conversion, revenue, and payment statuses.
- Liaise with finance, stores, and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience with GeM portal operations.
- Understanding of government procurement processes.
- Expertise in tender preparation and bid management.
- Capable of managing vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong documentation and compliance skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certifications or training in GeM or e-Procurement are advantageous.
Experience
- Executive level: 2 to 4 years experience in GeM operations or government tender handling.
- Senior executive level: 4 to 7 years with demonstrated success in government procurement.
