About the Role
Idea Peddler seeks an experienced Freelance Senior Designer to contribute to creative efforts in destination, tourism, hospitality, and place-based marketing campaigns. This role is highly practical, requiring the design of innovative concepts and execution of polished deliverables suitable for multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop advertising campaigns and marketing collateral.
- Explore and establish visual territories and creative concepts.
- Produce mood and inspiration boards to guide creative direction.
- Convert strategic briefs into compelling visual designs.
- Prepare client-ready presentations and pitch decks.
- Deliver production-quality files across various media.
- Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, copywriters, strategists, and account managers throughout project life cycles.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a refined design sense with meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable navigating between concept ideation and execution phases.
- Work effectively and autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in presenting and articulating creative rationale.
- Demonstrate curiosity, teamwork, and abstract thinking skills.
- Skilled at translating loose strategic ideas into visual solutions rapidly.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in advertising agency environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing advertising campaign development and delivery.
- Experience with brands in tourism, destination marketing organizations (DMO), convention and visitors bureaus (CVB), hospitality, hotels, resorts, attractions, or travel sectors.
- Proficient across digital, print, social media, outdoor, presentations, and experiential applications.
- Expert skill in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Portfolio Submission
- Provide a portfolio website or PDF.
- Include 3 to 5 advertising campaign examples.
- Highlight both conceptual exploration and final executions.
- Briefly describe your role for each project.
