Role Overview

The Freelance Graphic Designer will contribute remotely on a contractual basis, producing creative visual assets that promote awareness campaigns, educational content, and advocacy efforts focused on RARE diseases. Responsibilities involve crafting graphics suitable for both digital and print channels, designing logos and branding elements, and assembling layouts for social media, presentations, and outreach collateral. The designer will work closely with various foundation team members to understand project objectives, uphold a consistent visual identity, and deliver high-quality artwork punctually. Tasks may also include revising existing materials and preparing design files in formats optimized for varied platforms.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Strong expertise in both digital and print graphic design.
• Proficiency in logo creation and branding to establish and maintain a unified visual style.
• Knowledge of typography to ensure text is clear, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing.
• Experience using leading design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent tools.
• Background in designing for nonprofit, healthcare, or advocacy sectors is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including responsiveness to feedback.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant design projects and an aptitude for visual problem-solving.
