Role Overview

As the inaugural Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager at Bees & Bears, you will be instrumental in developing and directing the company's financial strategy. Your duties will include orchestrating budgeting, forecasting, and reporting operations and delivering insightful financial data that supports executive strategies and guarantees fiscal health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing financial planning and budgeting cycles and advise on resource allocation aligned with company goals.
• Create and manage rolling liquidity forecasts, coordinate with departments to optimize cash flows.
• Develop management reports tracking crucial financial and operational metrics, noting trends and deviation from plans.
• Prepare detailed and transparent investor financial reports covering performance and strategic outlook.
• Perform comprehensive variance analyses to guide leadership towards meeting financial targets.
• Design and upkeep financial models to evaluate opportunities, financial risks, and fund-raising activities.
• Collaborate interdepartmentally (Sales, Operations, Risk, Product) providing precise financial insights to aid decision-making.
• Enhance financial reporting and analysis processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and applying industry best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; advanced credentials (MBA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
• Over three years’ experience in FP&A roles.
• Background in startups, preferably in venture capital, FinTech, CleanTech, or tech-driven sectors.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets and Excel, proficient in developing intricate financial models.
• Knowledge of database/reporting tools is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of financial and operational KPIs.
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is a bonus.
• Strong analytical aptitude to derive trends and actionable insights from complex data.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify financial concepts for diverse audiences, including senior management.
• High attention to detail with accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving using data-centric approaches to improve financial results.
• Ability to build productive relationships across functions and teams.
