Role Overview

We are looking for a Founding AI Engineer to join our Australia-based team remotely. As an early member, you will architect, design, and develop core elements of Voltaire’s AI-driven platform. Your tasks will include writing secure, efficient code, developing backend systems, scaling the solution, and collaborating with other teams to ensure technical development aligns with business objectives. You will play a critical role in defining the technical path and building a durable product that supports legal teams in expanding access to justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI and large language model (LLM) features for our product.
• Make key decisions regarding system architecture, technology stack, LLM integrations, and agent-based tools.
• Utilize technologies such as Node.js, AWS, and Anthropic.
• Maintain a well-structured codebase with a balance of quality, security, and development speed.
• Drive product development and tackle wide-ranging technical challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least two years of experience building products using advanced AI technologies.
• Experience implementing AI and LLM applications and integrating systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take full ownership of code quality.
• Consideration for long-term software infrastructure planning and security.
