Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Taktile is on a mission to help financial institutions evolve into AI-native entities. We are expanding swiftly across banks and insurance sectors and seek a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about technology and AI developments, and have solid experience with Python, SQL, and REST APIs, you will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead intricate AI-centric deployments by managing multiple projects from initial concept through production to deliver significant business impact.
• Leverage your technical prowess and creativity to craft and implement architectural solutions, develop decision-making logic, and deploy production-level Generative AI agents while collaborating closely with customers to ensure exceptional outcomes and rapid value delivery.
• Plan project execution effectively by sequencing tasks, mitigating impediments, and balancing scope, speed, and quality to meet deadlines successfully.
• Collaborate with product management to convert client feedback and business needs into actionable insights that influence product development and evolution.
• Create and disseminate standardized tools, best practices, and resources that enhance the forward deployed engineering team's efficiency and scalability.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at least two years of engineering or technical deployment experience involving direct interaction with customers.
• Strong academic background preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficient in authoring and reviewing production-grade Python and SQL code, with deep understanding of REST API design and integration.
• Skilled in dissecting complex challenges and making prompt, informed decisions under pressure.
• Ability to foster strong partnerships with technical and business stakeholders, motivated by curiosity and a customer-focused approach.
• Exhibit a collaborative, inquisitive, and humble mindset, working effectively across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, and a genuine eagerness to understand customers’ operations.
• Open to a hybrid work arrangement, able to be present in Berlin or London office at least three days weekly.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)

• Minimum one year of experience in roles such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, Implementation Specialist, or similar within B2B SaaS companies.
• Experience developing AI solutions tailored for financial services.
• Background in applying and enhancing statistical and machine learning models for business problem-solving.
• Familiarity with at least one leading cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
