Role and Responsibilities

The Forward Deployed AI Scientist at BCG X leads entire analytics workflows, including defining new business problems, crafting innovative algorithms, implementing and deploying scalable AI solutions, and guiding both clients and colleagues to effectively utilize AI capabilities. The role involves applying advanced data science and analytics across various industries to generate meaningful business outcomes.

Key tasks include working collaboratively with clients globally, addressing strategic issues such as climate change, and building pioneering AI systems. Additional duties include producing thought leadership material, presenting scientific papers, and representing BCG X at industry conferences. Candidates are expected to be intellectually curious, action-oriented, resourceful, and excellent communicators.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in client engagements with the potential to lead teams
• Adept at translating complex findings and procedures into clear, concise visual forms
• Capable of explaining advanced data science concepts in an accessible way
• Passionate about building tools and comfortable collaborating in coding environments; software development or DevOps experience is a plus
• Proven track record applying sophisticated analytics to diverse business challenges and synthesizing complex datasets
• Strong understanding of contemporary machine learning methodologies and their mathematical foundations, with the ability to interpret business relevance for clients
• Excellent project management abilities

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency with Python programming language
