Overview

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Killarney, Ireland, is seeking a dedicated Fitter for a two-year fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the Final Assembly Foreman, the ideal candidate will be a proactive, dependable individual able to handle multiple duties concurrently with great attention to detail and effective communication skills. This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from assembly drawings accurately.
• Possess general understanding of hydraulic systems.
• Perform various gear assemblies including fitting bearings, seals, and aligning couplings.
• Fabricate parts using tools such as shears and bending machines.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Certification or qualification as a Fitter or in a mechanically related field.
• Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a team and work independently using initiative.
• Essential prior experience in a similar fitting role.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Availability to work two weekly rotating shifts: 06:30–15:00 and 15:00–23:30.
