About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Risk Director to spearhead the creation, execution, and supervision of a comprehensive financial risk management framework within the organization. This role is vital in pinpointing, evaluating, tracking, and mitigating various financial risks to support the organization's sustainable growth and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design and enforce the company's financial risk strategy, policies, and governance structures.
Detect, evaluate, monitor, and communicate key financial risks encompassing market, credit, liquidity, investment, and counterparty risks.
Formulate and uphold robust financial risk governance and internal control systems.
Advise senior management and pertinent committees on risk exposure and mitigation tactics strategically.
Conduct risk evaluations for investments, significant projects, and strategic ventures.
Keep abreast of economic, financial, and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Work in partnership with internal teams to promote risk awareness and integrate risk management into all operational areas.
Manage the creation of risk-related reports, dashboards, and presentations targeted at top leadership.
Lead and cultivate an effective financial risk management team.

Qualifications & Experience

Possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Master's degree and/or reputable certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or equivalents are highly desirable.
Have at least 10 to 15 years of experience in financial risk management, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
Comprehensive understanding of financial risk principles, governance, and internal control frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, risk modeling, investment risk evaluation, and formulating strategic risk management plans.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Strong analytical skills paired with sound decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages is preferred.
