Role Summary

As Financial Reporting Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise to the financial accounting team. Your main responsibility is to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting for Rest and its trustee and investment special purpose vehicles, aligning with best practices and organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of financial reports and tax returns for all Rest Group entities, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex matters and support Board, Audit & Finance Committee, and executive reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting controls, audit coordination, and reporting schedules to guarantee the punctual fulfillment of financial governance and reporting obligations across all entities.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, custodians, auditors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient financial reporting and support strategic projects.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in systems, processes, and reporting methodologies to boost efficiency, strengthen controls, and elevate the quality of financial deliverables.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance capability, ownership, motivation, and effectiveness in meeting financial reporting commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce, preferably with an Accounting major.
  • Qualified CA or CPA with dedication to continuous development in regulatory reporting, risk management, and financial governance.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within financial services, professional services, or superannuation sectors.
