Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Finance Director to join a high-growth financial services business that has recently entered the Irish market. Based in Dublin, the organisation is in a phase of expansion, transformation and continued investment, and is looking for a senior finance leader to join its Executive Leadership Team.

The position carries significant responsibility across finance leadership, commercial strategy, control, governance and regulatory oversight. Working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders, you will help shape business direction, support performance improvement and contribute to the company’s long-term growth.

Compensation for the role is €180,000 to €220,000, with bonus, pension and health insurance included.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team and take part in strategic planning, business direction and growth decisions.
• Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls and accounting policies across the business.
• Oversee financial, tax, statutory and regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely completion.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, while providing practical commercial challenge and insight.
• Produce high-quality financial analysis and reporting to support performance management and business growth.
• Work with senior stakeholders on pricing, investment appraisals, new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Own financial risk oversight and contribute to governance forums, ensuring risks are identified and managed appropriately.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team while building a culture of accountability, collaboration and ongoing improvement.
• Serve in a PCF-11 designated role and uphold Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity standards and broader governance requirements.

Candidate Profile

The role is intended for an experienced senior finance professional already operating at Head of Finance, Finance Director, Financial Controller or equivalent level within financial services.

• You should be a qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
• Substantial experience in financial services is essential, along with strong capability in financial control, regulatory reporting and financial planning & analysis.
• Prior exposure to Board, Executive Committee or senior leadership settings is important.
• You will need a track record of building, leading and motivating high-performing finance teams.
• Commercial judgement and the ability to influence strategic decisions are key requirements.
• Strong communication skills and effective stakeholder management are expected.
• You must be able to meet Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity standards and secure approval for a PCF-11 role.
