Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Export Controller to join our dynamic Logistics team at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary with working hours Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with required flexibility including occasional evenings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire supply chain process related to exports, ensuring punctual deliveries.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, freight forwarders, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to guarantee smooth export operations compliant with company policies.
  • Act as the primary liaison with export control authorities and provide expert advice on export compliance.
  • Continuously monitor, audit, and enhance export procedures and internal guidelines to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and control all necessary export documentation, coordinating with internal departments and third-party transporters for both European and global shipments.
  • Support internal Stock Control and Logistics Administrators as needed.

Key Duties

  • Ensure strict compliance with export procedures and controls.
  • Accurately complete documentation tailored to customer and country-specific requirements.
  • Process shipments destined for international customers.
  • Maintain control over export documents and coordinate with external cold storage facilities.
  • Work with external veterinary service providers to certify exports.
  • Liaise with both internal and external transport departments and sales teams.

  • Collaborate with Despatch and Intakes teams to streamline operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks and provide input for Key Performance Indicators.
  • Set up customer orders within the internal system and perform ad hoc duties as required.
