Executive / Sr. Executive - R&D (Product Technical Engineer)

Role Overview

This position acts as the technical authority within the specified domain at Valeo, enriching the organization's technical expertise and best practices. You will define and uphold standards, lead group-wide initiatives, and communicate effectively across multiple teams to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical reference for your domain within Valeo, promoting best practices.
• Establish and maintain roadmap standards to ensure excellence and continuous improvement, anticipating future technical advancements.
• Lead and monitor cross-functional initiatives at both site and group levels.
• Assist team leaders in customizing standard procedures according to project-specific needs.
• Engage with the Valeo Discipline Network and ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Provide technical support during the Request for Quotation phases by advising on optimal technical solutions.
• Gather and consolidate requirements from different stakeholders for complex projects, resolving conflicting demands; this may entail travel to meet OEMs and customers.
• Conduct technical reviews on project activities at site and group levels.
• Regularly update progress through active involvement in internal and external complex project meetings.
• Create detailed feature lists and organize work packages to maximize customer value through phased deliveries optimizing reusability.
• Support Design Leaders and Project Management in planning discipline development strategies.
• Take responsibility for the performance levels of technical solutions provided.
• Lead system and customer requirement analysis and high-level architectural design definition for new products.
• Coach and certify technical reviewers and other trainers at site or group level, developing and delivering technical training adapted to multicultural environments.
