About the Role
The position is within the Supply Chain domain, focusing on overseeing and managing production operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient production workflows, adhering to safety and quality guidelines, and ensuring seamless coordination with related departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production processes are followed according to established protocols.
- Manage transactional and record-keeping activities using SAP system.
- Regularly update safety, environmental, and quality documentation.
- Provide progress updates and report issues to supervisors concerning production plans and sectional operations.
- Organize shift activities regarding manpower deployment, machinery usage, and batch management.
- Collaborate closely with packing and other service departments to meet production targets timely.
- Address shop floor issues promptly and take actions to reduce production or machinery downtime.
- Assign operators per shift and guarantee batch processing follows schedules.
- Lead and supervise operators and contractors on a shift basis.
- Ensure compliance with in-process quality checks as per procedures.
- Complete shift reports and maintain efficiency records for operators.
- Log all equipment breakdowns, unsafe acts, conditions, and waste generation via designated portals.
- Facilitate smooth shift handovers including proper takeover and handover procedures.
- Maintain availability of raw materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), and consumables.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of shop floor and equipment.
- Uphold and maintain 5S workplace organization system within the section.
- Contribute actively to organizational safety, environmental, and health initiatives.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement enhancements.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry.
