Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the operation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment within the site. The incumbent will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and carry out repairs down to component levels to ensure systems run efficiently and reliably.

Primary Duties

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on all mechanical assets according to the asset register and management instructions.
  • Perform regular inspections and servicing as per daily and weekly maintenance schedules to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Repair, refurbish, and replace mechanical equipment as needed, including implementing system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Check the correct functioning of systems, including those linked to the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Use BMS to monitor system performance, detect issues, and optimize operations.
  • Adjust system settings to maintain ideal operating conditions.
  • Gather and analyze data on system performance to support initiatives for energy savings and conservation.
  • Engage in ongoing training and skill development, including technical and language courses in line with performance evaluations.

Safety and Compliance

  • Carry out duties in a safe manner adhering to environmental and health & safety standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and toolbox sessions to promote safety awareness.
  • Immediately report any incidents, injuries, or hazardous situations to site management and HSE teams.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and submit reports on safety and quality observations.
  • Follow up and resolve safety observations recorded through platforms like Senyar.
  • Deliver excellent service to clients and site staff with professionalism and attentiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Diploma or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
  • Have at least 8 years of practical experience working with mechanical system installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Hold 2 to 3 years of supervisory or team leader experience within Facility Management.
  • Frequently coordinate with maintenance contractors and collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, HSE, and Security.
  • Occasionally liaise with external vendors, service providers, and stakeholders.
