About the Role
Searcys is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join the team at 116 Pall Mall, a distinguished Georgian venue in central London known for its elegant meeting rooms and ballrooms designed by architect John Nash. This position entails overseeing the full coordination and profitability of events, orchestrating the event team during operations, and collaborating closely with sales and clients to ensure seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all events are set up and delivered punctually according to detailed event plans.
- Participate actively in daily and weekly event operations meetings.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen, sales, operations, and client teams to guarantee successful event delivery.
- Engage in both short- and long-term event and sales planning and management.
- Develop, recommend, and manage budgets and marketing plans within approved parameters.
- Maintain or exceed sales and profitability targets for event operations.
- Create and implement innovative marketing strategies to boost event revenue.
- Assess potential event business to ensure adequate service capability.
- Design and coordinate creative event experiences, working internally or outsourcing as necessary.
- Lead and motivate event teams to build enduring customer relationships supportive of sales goals.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years of experience in event management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the event and meeting management cycle from inception to conclusion.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, creative setting while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability with a solutions-focused mindset to handle challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical reasoning capabilities.
- Self-motivated, creative, positive, approachable, and calm in high-pressure situations, with a helpful and humble attitude.
