About the Role

We are collaborating with a nationally recognised main contractor seeking a seasoned Estimator to join their expanding pre-construction team. This position offers the chance to contribute to a company with a robust project pipeline focusing on major industrial, warehouse, and manufacturing developments valued between A315 million and A3150 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee tenders from initial enquiry through submission and engage in post-tender negotiations.
• Develop cost plans and assist with two-stage tender processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments and supply chain partners throughout the tender lifecycle.
• Evaluate supplier quotations ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Identify and assess commercial risks and potential opportunities.
• Compile comprehensive tender handover documentation.
• Participate actively in pre-tender, mid-tender, and post-tender meetings.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to support the tender process.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven estimating experience within a main contractor setting.
• Familiarity with industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or similarly sized construction projects.
• Strong understanding of design and build project delivery.
• Solid commercial insight coupled with comprehensive construction knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, and estimating software tools.
• Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and aptitude for building professional relationships.
• Proactive mindset with capacity to juggle multiple tender submissions concurrently.
