The Opportunity

We are inviting applications for an Estimating Cadet to join our team based in Melbourne. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals wishing to establish a promising career in construction estimating under the guidance of seasoned experts.

The role offers practical experience through engagement with the full estimating process on a diverse array of projects and provides excellent opportunities for training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Assist in performing quantity take-offs and cost evaluations.
• Support in obtaining pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain detailed estimating records and databases.
• Collaborate closely with the Estimating and Pre-Construction teams.

Candidate Profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Strong numerical aptitude and enthusiasm for figures.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with a keen interest in learning.
• Effective communication and organizational capabilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or a readiness to develop these skills.
• Genuine passion for the construction industry and estimating processes.
