Position Overview
The Engineering Analyst role is designed for motivated graduates or early-career professionals eager to build a career in asset management consulting. This entry-level position provides direct involvement in client projects from the start, offering exposure to a variety of advisory disciplines such as asset strategy, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and operational process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver client support across core advisory areas, including asset investment and strategy, maintenance strategy development, asset management maturity improvements, working capital optimisation, and process performance enhancements.
- Conduct data collection, structuring, and analysis related to assets, maintenance, and operations to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Research industry standards and client contexts to inform engagement deliverables.
- Assist in developing KPIs, dashboards, business cases, and performance reports under senior guidance.
- Utilize CMMS platforms like SAP PM and Maximo, internal tools, and COSOL’s OnPlan Digital Work Management platform to support project delivery.
- Contribute to developing internal knowledge assets including templates and methodologies, and explore AI-assisted workflows and data visualization technologies.
- Engage in client workshops, site visits, and stakeholder discussions, while maintaining professional and clear communication in all deliverables and interactions.

Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Completed tertiary education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics), Business, Data Science, or a related field prior to commencement.
- Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Readiness to travel and work onsite at client locations.
Preferred Attributes
- Interest or exposure to asset-intensive sectors such as mining, rail, or utilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS, database, BI, or data visualization tools.
- Prior related experience in asset management, maintenance planning, or reliability engineering is advantageous.
- Internship or professional experience within technical, analytical, or consulting fields.
- Understanding of asset management standards like ISO 55000.

Working Conditions
- This is a full-time permanent role initially started on a casual basis with approximately 38 hours per week, with potential transition to permanent full-time based on project need.
- Work mode includes a combination of office, remote, and onsite client visits, including travel to mining, rail, and processing sites.
- Some assignments may require fly-in fly-out (FIFO) or extended site stays.
