Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct desktop ecological evaluations utilizing databases and mapping resources at the Commonwealth, State, and local levels.
  • Plan and execute field ecological surveys including vegetation and habitat verification, BioCondition assessments, threatened species monitoring, and other fauna and flora surveys.
  • Carry out ecological impact analyses and develop management plans across various projects.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with clients, contractors, government bodies, service providers, and colleagues.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resource management, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations at the Commonwealth, Queensland, and local levels.
  • Experience with both desktop and field ecological assessment methodologies.
  • Proficient in GIS software and data management tools including ESRI, ArcGIS, and Fulcrum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors during short to extended periods as part of field surveys.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
