Early Years Teacher

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teacher for a permanent role in our Academic Department located in Doha, Qatar. The position reports to the Head of Primary and Assistant Head of Primary (Early Years) and focuses on delivering exceptional education to primary students.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment that motivates and challenges pupils.
• Set ambitious goals tailored to pupils of diverse backgrounds and abilities and uphold positive behavior and attitudes consistently.
• Be accountable for monitoring, guiding, and enhancing pupils' progress and achievements, using thorough knowledge of their abilities and previous learning.
• Demonstrate comprehensive subject knowledge, continuously promote scholarship and maintain high literacy and language standards.
• Design and deliver well-structured lessons that foster intellectual curiosity and consolidate learning through homework and other activities.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support all pupils including those with special needs or language barriers, using differentiation and awareness of developmental stages.
• Employ formative and summative assessment techniques to track progress, provide regular feedback, and guide future planning.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior, establish clear rules and routines, and promote discipline using consistent strategies.
• Contribute to the broader school community by engaging in extracurricular activities, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Prioritize health and safety in all activities, including supervising playground duties and enforcing safety policies.
• Maintain professional conduct by respecting pupils, safeguarding their welfare, demonstrating tolerance and upholding school ethos and cultural expectations.

Additional Duties

• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in teaching from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching certification compliant with Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) requirements.
• Minimum of two years relevant teaching experience.
• Fluency in English is essential.
