Overview

Step into a leadership role where you'll inspire teams and drive operational success within a dynamic branch environment. As a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Branch Manager and collaborating with fellow Duty Managers, you will oversee daily operations spanning retail, warehouse, and fleet activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support seamless day-to-day operations across retail, warehouse, and fleet functions.
  • Coordinate resources to maintain efficient workflows and deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Drive adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
  • Manage stock accuracy, inventory control, and organize stocktaking activities.
  • Ensure achievement of pick-to-manifest targets and meet customer service SLAs consistently.
  • Oversee processing of returns, warranties, and reverse logistics.
  • Support Click & Collect and delivery service operations.
  • Maintain fleet compliance, vehicle readiness, and operational efficiency.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop employees across all operational sectors.
  • Lead engaging daily team briefings and manage performance discussions.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding processes, and succession planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Build and manage a versatile, skilled team dedicated to high performance.
  • Champion a customer-first approach and facilitate outstanding service delivery.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to maximize customer engagement and branch opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards of branch presentation and operational quality.
  • Support achievement of sales, profit, and margin targets for the branch.
  • Monitor operational expenses, payroll, and productivity metrics.
  • Maintain robust cash handling and stock control standards.
  • Analyze KPIs and operational data to drive continuous improvements.
  • Promote a safety-first culture ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Support financial, operational, and stock audits, keeping accurate compliance records.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training and compliance requirements by all team members.

Candidate Profile

  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience in retail, warehouse, logistics, or distribution sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs and enhancing operational performance.
  • A commitment to superior customer service and satisfaction.
  • Sound knowledge of stock control and operational workflows.
  • Commercially aware with capability to influence business outcomes positively.
  • Familiarity with operational systems and reporting tools.
  • Flexible and composed under pressure.

Experience related to fleet operations, inventory management, or profit and loss responsibility is advantageous but not mandatory.
