Document Controller

About the Role

Sofomation is urgently seeking a seasoned Document Controller for a prominent client based in Oman. This position demands a candidate with prior experience in pipeline construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects, responsible for managing critical project documents efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control engineering drawings and related documents including AFC drawings, RFIs, TQs, Method Statements, ITPs, NCRs, and NDT records.
• Maintain and update the Master Document Register (MDR), handling transmittals, minutes of meetings (MOM), site instructions, and as-built documentation.
• Utilize Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, Primavera Unifier, or equivalent tools to ensure document integrity and accessibility.
• Prepare and organize project documentation to support project controls and quality assurance requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 3 to 5 or more years of experience as a Document Controller specifically within pipeline construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
• Able to proficiently manage various technical and administrative documents related to engineering projects.
• Experience with EDMS platforms including Aconex, SharePoint, and Primavera Unifier.
• Strong familiarity with document control processes encompassing MDR, transmittals, MOM, site instructions, and as-built documentation.
• Skilled user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Educational background comprising a diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

Additional Information

Location: Oman
Compensation: Basic salary up to OMR 500, commensurate with experience.
