Overview
We are inviting applications for a well-organized and proactive Assistant with at least two years of relevant experience to join the dynamic Film Distribution division. This role plays a critical part in expanding our distribution reach, facilitating flawless communication with filmmakers, and enhancing marketing and delivery processes. The position is hybrid remote, requiring presence in the office three days per week in Santa Monica, CA.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the division’s YouTube channel, including video uploads, SEO metadata, thumbnail creation, and frequent content updates.
- Support the development and arrangement of marketing toolkits and collaborate closely with the delivery team on promotional materials.
- Supervise and approve initial tasks carried out by interns for each film release to ensure high-quality landing pages, social media content, trailers, and promotional sheets.
- Prepare and dispatch acquisition agreements.
- Serve as a primary contact for filmmakers, offering responsive email support and coordinating regular communications.
- Arrange and securely share watch links and screening materials with clients, platforms, and partners.
- Plan, organize, and participate in filmmaker release strategy meetings to coordinate expectations and output.
- Collect and analyze performance data for filmmakers, tracking metrics such as platform views, audience interaction, and distribution results.
- Submit film assets for coverage, reviews, and placement throughout the release period.
- Maintain exemplary organization of digital assets on Google Drive and Coda, including updating contact lists, project status, and pipelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years' experience in film distribution, marketing, agencies, or independent media sectors.
- Advanced skills with Google Workspace, YouTube Studio, digital marketing and design platforms (Canva, Adobe), AI tools, and project management software such as Coda or Notion.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking capabilities to handle concurrent deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining professionalism and supportiveness in interactions with filmmakers and partners.
- A proactive self-starter who excels in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
Salary & Benefits
- Annual salary ranges from $38,000 to $42,000, with opportunities for commissions and bonuses to be negotiated.
- This is a hybrid role, based primarily in or near Santa Monica, CA, with three days a week onsite.
