Director of Operations

About the Role

We are collaborating with a rapidly expanding firm seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee a diverse portfolio of successful businesses during their upcoming growth phase. Key Responsibilities

• Steer the operational strategies for multiple businesses within the portfolio.
• Collaborate directly with company CEOs and top executives to boost overall business outcomes.
• Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability, forecasting, utilization rates, and resource allocation planning.
• Design and implement scalable operating rhythms, reporting mechanisms, and performance measurement systems.
• Support the organization’s expansion and operational harmonization while maintaining the unique strengths of each individual business.
• Detect operational risks and develop effective, scalable solutions to mitigate them.
• Develop leadership capabilities and contribute to succession planning efforts.
• Work closely with Finance, Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Growth departments to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in executive, operational, or business leadership roles.
• Proven leadership experience across multiple business units, regions, or portfolios.
• Deep expertise in financial and operational management, including oversight of profit and loss statements, forecasting, KPIs, and operational strategies.
• Background in architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), mission-critical services, data centers, owner’s representation, program management, commercial real estate, or related professional services sectors.
• Strong ability to influence senior executives, founders, and business leaders to promote accountability and execute strategies.
• Preferred experience with acquisitions, organizational integrations, or scaling multi-entity enterprises.
