Overview
Join PwC Singapore's Tax division as a Digital Tax Data Scientist Associate in a full-time, onsite role. PwC is a global network focused on delivering trusted advisory and innovative solutions in audit, tax, deals, and consulting, powered by extensive expertise and cutting-edge technology. This position involves working within the Digital Tax Unit to harness data and technology for enhancing tax strategies, compliance, and planning.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to help them realize the value of their data through analytics and visualization techniques.
- Apply predictive modeling, statistical methods, data mining, and other analytical approaches to explore and extract actionable insights from datasets.
- Analyze diverse data sources to develop new product offerings or optimize existing product development, marketing, and business strategies.
- Create and maintain predictive and large language models (LLMs) to focus on targeted business outcomes, measure risk, and improve user experiences.
- Leverage data-driven models to design risk mitigation techniques that benefit clients while enhancing user interactions.
- Lead end-to-end project management, including requirement clarification and development of research methodologies.
- Keep abreast of evolving trends in business and industry to maintain relevant expertise.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, or Mathematics with typically 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency in statistical and data mining techniques and tools.
- Experienced in data visualization and presenting insights effectively to varied stakeholders.
- Background in data analytics roles within financial services, professional services, or engineering sectors is preferred.
- Strong command of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methodologies.
- Technical skills include programming in SQL, Python, and experience with cloud computing platforms.
- Knowledge or familiarity with mathematical, statistical, and programming concepts relating to large language models is advantageous.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to explain complex concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
