Job Overview
We seek a Design Engineer skilled in creating Material Handling Equipment, including Hydraulic Goods Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Dock Levelers, Mobile Dock Ramps, Conveyors, and Pallet Trucks. The role demands strong mechanical design expertise, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and proficiency in CAD software.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop designs for Material Handling Equipment.
- Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and General Arrangement (GA) plans.
- Design fabricated structures, hydraulic mechanisms, and mechanical assemblies.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) along with manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Conduct calculations to verify load capacity, stress limits, and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality control, and project teams for smooth project execution.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
- Adhere to safety regulations and customized client requirements.
- Update designs based on customer feedback and site conditions.
- Maintain thorough design documentation and engineering records.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience with SolidWorks or Creo is advantageous.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems and structural engineering principles.
- Competency in BOM preparation and drawing release processes.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and welding standards.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools.
Compensation
Monthly salary ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 INR.
