Demand Business Analyst

Role Overview

The Demand Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging business needs with business intelligence (BI) solutions. This position entails gathering and clarifying business requirements, evaluating solutions, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals by collaborating closely with stakeholders and BI teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive requirements collection and documentation by engaging with stakeholders to clarify goals and expected outcomes.
• Examine and map current business processes to identify opportunities for enhancement and understand where BI can deliver the greatest impact.
• Collaborate with BI developers and architects to assess solution suitability and ensure it meets business needs.
• Perform data analysis with statistical and visualization tools to validate potential opportunities; decide when to delegate deeper analysis to specialized data researchers.
• Create detailed documentation including process diagrams, data flow models, and solution specifications.
• Support rigorous testing and validation of BI solutions to confirm deliverables align with established requirements prior to deployment.
• Communicate analytical insights to stakeholders effectively, facilitate workshops and feedback sessions alongside the product owner to secure consensus and understanding.
• Advocate for continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality and analytic capabilities within the organization.
• Develop and maintain domain expertise across various organizational capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related area.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related functions.
• Strong proficiency in BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalents.
• Hands-on experience of at least 2 years with scrum processes using tools like DevOps and Jira.
• Fundamental knowledge of financial and commercial reporting.
• This role does not offer immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and ETL procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
