Delivery Driver

Role overview

This position is focused on delivering food orders safely and on time while representing the store in a professional and customer-friendly way. In addition to driving, the role includes helping with store operations and basic food prep when needed.

Key duties

• Complete deliveries in a safe, legal, and courteous manner, following all traffic laws and company driving standards.
• Use the approved safe-delivery process and wear a seat belt at all times while driving.
• Know the delivery area well, make a cash drop after each delivery, and never leave for a delivery carrying more than $20.
• Keep a positive, polished image for customers and follow company policies and brand standards.
• Prepare before each shift by ensuring the vehicle has fuel, the uniform is complete, and the car is in good working condition; the car-top sign must be lit after dark.
• Report any pressure to drive unsafely to the safety hotline, the owner, and/or a supervisor.
• Maintain a clean driving record and immediately notify the manager of any changes.
• Handle customer concerns calmly, politely, and with professionalism to help create a positive experience.
• Read a map and navigate delivery routes effectively.
• Support in-store work as needed, including answering phones promptly, helping prepare pizzas and food, stocking the makeline and soda cooler, folding boxes, applying coupons, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and carrying out other maintenance assigned by the manager.
• Maintain all appearance and image standards set by the company.

Equipment and work environment

The role uses the employee's own car, food preparation tools, cleaning supplies, and boxes. Work is performed outdoors during deliveries and indoors in a kitchen environment with heat from cooking.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record that meets company standards. A reliable, well-maintained vehicle with proper insurance is also required.

Qualifications

A driving history of 2 years is expected, with no more than 2 violations in the past 2 years. Candidates should also pass a background check and bring a positive attitude, a clean personal image, and a dependable vehicle.
