About The Position
The Golden State Warriors seek a Data Scientist to enhance our multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on strengthening research, predictive analytics, and strategic decision-making in support of Basketball Operations. Collaboration with data engineering teams is central to deploying and monitoring developed models. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Basketball, Analytics, and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, deploy, and oversee predictive models for basketball performance and decision making.
- Develop features essential for effective predictive modeling.
- Collaborate with data analysts to incorporate model insights into actionable decisions.
- Examine extensive datasets to identify trends and significant patterns.
- Stay informed on advancements in data science and basketball analytics.
- Fulfill additional related tasks as necessary.
Required Experience and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable work experience.
- Minimum of four years of professional experience within data analytics teams.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Advanced expertise in predictive modeling using libraries such as Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyMC3.
- Experience managing SQL databases and relational database systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and version control using Git.
- Knowledge of scalable ETL/ELT processes and production deployment of predictive models is advantageous.
- Experience with distributed computing and streaming technologies is a plus.
- Adept at building strong professional relationships across all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- A strong passion for basketball and curiosity about the sport.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Annual salary of $165,000 with additional bonus opportunities.
