Role Summary

This role is part of a small Compliance & Legal team focused on ensuring high standards of data protection throughout the organization. The incumbent will manage data subject inquiries, promote compliance with data protection policies, and assess data-related issues in collaboration with departments and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce data protection standards in close coordination with internal teams and the external Data Protection Officer to uphold organizational data privacy.
• Coordinate and respond to data subject requests and potential data breaches promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
• Review data protection legal matters to ensure compliance and safeguard personal data.
• Identify and implement necessary data protection measures aligning with legal requirements and organizational policies to mitigate risks across departments.
• Advise and assist departments in documenting data processing activities and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments for lawful and transparent data handling.
• Provide support for internal training sessions and small-scale data protection projects as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferred 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in data protection, compliance, or information law, including tasks like reviewing data protection issues and contracts or managing data processing agreements. Strong interest in advancing in data protection is welcomed with structured training and support available.
• Educational background in law with focus on legal science, business law, informatics, or relevant compliance/governance experience.
• Fluency in German at C1 level, allowing effective communication in complex professional contexts.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level for confident participation in most work situations and discussions.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar software and experienced in systematic documentation and reporting.
• Reliable and meticulous work approach.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary range from €4020 up to €5084 monthly (full-time) plus a 13th-month salary.
• 30 vacation days plus additional holidays on December 24th and 31st.
