Overview

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a meticulous Data Analyst to gather, process, and analyze data to drive informed business decisions. The role requires someone with robust analytical abilities, experience handling extensive datasets, and capabilities to translate data into insightful reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, and validate data from diverse sources.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools.
• Prepare regular reports and deliver presentations to business stakeholders.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• Collaborate closely with business units to understand reporting needs.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose optimizations.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support various business initiatives.
• Ensure all data is accurate, consistent, and maintains integrity.
• Document data definitions, workflows, and analytical methods comprehensively.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
• Experience using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analytics preferred.
• Solid understanding of statistics and data analysis methods.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets effectively.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Between 2 to 6 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a closely related analytical role.
• Preferred experience includes working with databases and data warehouse technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of ETL processes and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of machine learning basics is an added advantage.
• Relevant certifications in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Data Analytics would be beneficial.
