Role Summary

The Data Analyst will act as the vital connection between business teams and the data department, translating business demands into effective analytical solutions. This position works closely with stakeholders in e-commerce, retail, supply chain, planning, customer insights, and product sectors to prioritize workload, clarify requirements, oversee analytics projects, and deliver insightful findings. Located in Los Angeles, this role offers high organizational visibility and impactful contributions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison connecting business units and the data team.
• Collect, document, and convert business specifications into actionable analytics tasks.
• Handle the analytics intake workflow, including prioritizing requests and communicating with stakeholders.
• Manage several analytics projects concurrently ensuring on-time delivery aligned with business priorities.
• Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL to confirm requirements and resolve business queries.
• Create and sustain dashboards and reporting tools to support self-service analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with data engineers to guarantee correct and efficient delivery of analytics outputs.
• Verify final deliverables to ensure compliance with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and uphold consistent business definitions, metrics, and standards for reporting.
• Present insights and recommendations effectively to audiences with and without technical backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range between $130,000 and $150,000 annually.

Required Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, business analysis, or related roles emphasizing analytics.
• Proficient hands-on SQL expertise for querying and analyzing datasets independently.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using BI platforms like Looker, Tableau, or equivalents.
• Strong abilities to gather requirements and translate them into actionable analytical initiatives.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder communication and management across technical and non-technical groups.
• Solid project management and prioritization capabilities, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Background working with modern data environments and collaborating with data engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting sectors such as retail, e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, consumer products, or apparel.
• Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, planning, purchasing, or supply chain analytics.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and conducting A/B tests.
• Exposure to cloud analytics platforms and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience in constructing data models using tools like dbt, Dataform, or similar technologies.
• A passion for leveraging data to inform business decisions in a dynamic, consumer-driven environment.
