Cybersecurity Specialist

Overview

The Cybersecurity Specialist is tasked with implementing, managing, and optimizing a broad array of enterprise cybersecurity technologies to safeguard organizational assets. The position emphasizes managing various security platforms, ensuring secure configurations, supporting integrations, and enhancing the overall security posture across diverse security domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure cybersecurity tools including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Network Access Control (NAC), Proxy Security, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Endpoint Protection, Email Security, Firewall Management, and Vulnerability Management.
• Optimize security controls by tuning policies, updating rules, and maintaining secure configurations.
• Facilitate integration of security tools with organizational systems to enable efficient monitoring and protection.
• Apply security hardening practices to servers, endpoints, and network devices following established best practices.
• Conduct regular access reviews and assist IAM processes, including managing privileged access and enforcing MFA.
• Oversee onboarding of assets and ensure proper deployment of security controls across systems and endpoints.
• Continuously monitor the operational health and performance of security platforms, troubleshooting issues to maintain availability.
• Validate application of security patches and configuration adjustments for compliance with company security standards.
• Assist with vulnerability management processes by tracking remediation efforts and enhancing security measures.
• Drive ongoing improvements in security operations, platform performance, and organizational cybersecurity defenses.

Talent Profile

• Holder of a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Possession of relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA, or equivalents is preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ hands-on experience managing and administering enterprise cybersecurity technologies.
