Cybersecurity Architect

Position Overview

NexyaHR is facilitating a confidential search for a seasoned Cybersecurity Architect to become part of a prominent international company's global Cybersecurity division based in Munich, Germany.

This crucial strategic role entails crafting and overseeing enterprise security architectures that safeguard cloud environments, applications, infrastructure, and digital assets across multifaceted international settings.

Collaborating closely with Enterprise Architects, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure teams, and senior technologists, the professional will devise security frameworks that foster business expansion while maintaining resilience, compliance, and exemplary operational standards.

Key Duties

• Create enterprise-wide cybersecurity architectural designs that align with business objectives and technology strategies.
• Establish security standards, reference architectures, and conduct technical governance.
• Build secure cloud architectures utilizing AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead architectural reviews for cloud migration efforts, digital transformation projects, and enterprise applications.
• Deploy Zero Trust security models across hybrid and multi-cloud contexts.
• Design Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) frameworks.
• Perform threat modeling, security risk evaluations, and architectural assessments.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to embed security into system designs.
• Support compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR, and sector-specific frameworks.
• Develop security roadmaps and technology standard protocols.
• Assess emerging cybersecurity tools and propose strategic advancements.
• Provide technical leadership during security incident responses and remediation initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing enterprise security architectures within complex international environments.
• Extensive cloud security knowledge, particularly within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience implementing Zero Trust security models.
• In-depth understanding of IAM, Single Sign-On (SSO), and PAM solutions.
• Proficiency in securing enterprise applications, networks, and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong familiarity with security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
• Experience working with Security Operations, SIEM, and SOAR technologies.
• Awareness of DevSecOps methodologies and secure software development principles.
• Excellent abilities in stakeholder engagement and communication.

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in German at C1 or C2 level is mandatory.
• Proficiency in English at C2 level is mandatory.
