Cyber Security Analyst

Role Overview

This part-time, remote role with Aster Pharmacy Bangladesh centers on protecting the company's digital infrastructure and sensitive information. The analyst will handle monitoring security alerts, analyzing threats, and coordinating incident response with relevant teams. Daily tasks include examining logs and network traffic, evaluating vulnerabilities in software and systems, and assisting with the application of security measures and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security events and network activities to detect anomalies and potential threats.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security controls to reinforce the organization's defenses.
• Document analysis results and compile clear security reports for stakeholders.
• Help develop and update organizational security policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity and information security principles, with risk assessment capabilities.
• Knowledge or experience in network security, including traffic monitoring and anomaly detection.
• Understanding of application security concepts and common vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM systems, endpoint protection solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
• A bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Capability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity, managing time and communication efficiently.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CEH are advantageous.
• Awareness of data protection, privacy regulations, and interest in security within healthcare or pharmacy sectors is a plus.
